Frequently Asked Questions

Cosmetic injectables refer to non-surgical procedures that involve the injection of substances, such as botulinum toxin (Botox) or dermal fillers, into the skin to enhance or restore its appearance.

The two main types of cosmetic injectables are botulinum toxin (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin) and dermal fillers. Botox is used to temporarily relax facial muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, while dermal fillers are used to restore volume, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance facial contours.

Botulinum toxin injections block nerve signals in muscles, which temporarily relaxes them, resulting in the reduction of wrinkles and fine lines. Dermal fillers, on the other hand, add volume to areas that have lost fullness or elasticity, such as the lips, cheeks, and nasolabial folds.

When performed by a trained and experienced medical professional, cosmetic injectables are generally safe. However, like any medical procedure, there can be potential risks and side effects. It's crucial to consult with a qualified provider and discuss your medical history and expectations before undergoing any cosmetic injectable treatment.

The duration of results varies depending on the type of injectable used. Botox results typically last around three to six months, while dermal fillers can provide results that last from six months to two years, depending on the product used and individual factors.
